Edward Kuznar

Patrolman Kuznar was killed when his patrol car was struck by a drunk driver.

The incident occurred when the other driver crossed the center line and struck his vehicle. The force of the impact knocked the patrol car backwards into a truck. Both Patrolman Kuznar and the drunk driver were killed in the accident.

Patrolman Kuznar had been with the agency for 12 years. He was survived by his wife.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 42nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
