Policeman Walter Kreps was killed in a motorcycle accident while on Avenue 20, near the railroad tracks, when his police motorcycle was struck by a police car which was returning from a call.
He was responding to a call in Highland Park when the accident occurred.
Policeman Kreps had served with the Los Angeles Police Department for five years. He was survived by his wife and son.
