Lawrence Morris Klump

Patrolman Lawrence Klump was shot and killed when he instructed a group of men to clear the streets and stop disturbing the peace at 704 West Fifth Street in Cincinnati.

One of the men opened fire, striking Patrolman Klump six times.

The suspect was sentenced to life and died in prison.

Patrolman Klump had served with the Cincinnati Police Department for nearly 10 years. He was survived by his wife, son, and two daughters.
