Patrolman Brian Kloka was killed in an automobile accident while pursuing a speeding vehicle.

His patrol car struck a utility pole near the intersection of Broadview Road and Boston Road and rolled over. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Patrolman Kloka had only served with the Broadview Heights Police Department for eight months. He was survived by his wife and sister.
