John H. Kane

Sergeant John Kane was electrocuted on Crescent Street, near the Park Congregational Church, after coming into contact with an electrical cable pole that had shorted out with 4,000 volts.

He was investigating the death of a teenager who had also been killed after coming into contact with the cable pole.

Sergeant Kane was survived by his wife and three children.
