Henry Lee Jones

Officer Henry Jones was shot and killed by one of two men he surprised burglarizing an apartment on Skipper Place, NW. Both suspects, both 22, were apprehended.

On March 1, 1974, the killer, was convicted of murder, three counts of burglary, and sentenced to life plus 64 years. The other suspect was sentenced to 10 years.

Officer Jones was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was survived by his wife and child.

On today, the 50th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
