David William Jones

Officer Jones was killed in an automobile accident while on patrol.

Officer Jones was attempting a left turn from Lowry Road
on to southbound Newark Boulevard when his patrol car was struck as a station wagon came over the Alameda Creek bridge and hit him broadside.

Officer Jones had served with the Fremont Police Department for 11 years. He was also an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was survived by his wife and two sons.
