Frederick D. Hudson

Sergeant Frederick Hudson was shot and killed when he responded to a silent alarm at a liquor store. As he and his partner approached the store the two suspects opened fire. Sergeant Hudson and his partner, who was shot in the foot, were able to return fire and seriously wounded one of the suspects.

The 31-year-old wounded suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced 199 years. The other suspect escaped.
