Charles Martin Hilbert

Police Officer Charles Hilbert was killed when he was struck by a car at the intersection of Potee Street and Patapsco Avenue. The 56-year-old driver lost control of his car, jumped the curb, and pinned Officer Hilbert against a traffic light pole. He was charged with reckless driving.

Officer Hilbert was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and had served with the Baltimore Police Department for three months. He was survived by his wife.
