I was the Primary Crew Chief on the C-130E Hercules that carried his body from Turkey to Germany. On our approach, camel herders fired on our aircraft. Turks were very hostile. To all his friends and family, my sincere condolences. It was an honor to help return a Hero home. He was treated with the greatest respect.
