Edgar Hamrick

Chief Hamrick was shot and killed at the city jail after arresting a man for being drunk in public. The suspect produced a pistol he had hidden on his body and fatally shot Chief Hamrick. The suspect also wounded the county sheriff and a jailer. The man was apprehended and hung on the court square.
