Patrolman Hampton was shot and killed with his own gun on a city street by his 19-year-old brother-in- law. The motive and reason was not known.

Thank U all so much from the Hampton family, I'm Limmual L. Hampton the grandson of Patrolman Hampton, I'm 52 and it been 52yrs sence this happened an still do know the reason why. But any way this great man has great great grandson that's a genius in math makes over A+ on his tests I think he's 10yrs old. His granddaddy is Otha D. Hampton son of Patrolman Hampton.
