Trooper Hall had been at our home, taking a coffee break while visiting with my father, the Chief of Police of Junction City. The accident occurred a few blocks from my home, and the crash could be heard at the school I attended. If I remember correctly the accident occurred at 10th Ave and Oaklea Drive, his patrol car came to rest in a hay field that had recently been cut. A State Trooper's house now sits on the land approximately where Trpr. Hall's car came to rest. He was amongst the few State Trooper friends that were KIA in the line of duty.
