Captain James Hall was shot and killed while attempting to arrest two burglary suspects in the parking lot of the Manor Country Club, located near Great Oak Road and Carrolton Road.

Captain Hall had served with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office for 10 years. He was survived by his wife, two children, and four grandchildren.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
