Officer Crit Hall suffered a fatal heart attack while pursuing a burglary suspect on foot.
He had responded to the burglary call at 3:00 am. As he was about to enter the building, one of the suspects exited and immediately fled. Officer Hall collapsed as he was chasing the man.
Officer Hall was a WWI veteran and had served with the Saint Albans Police Department for 38 years. He is survived by his wife and four children.
