I too, am thankful for finding this site. Huck, Mike's nickname, and I were best friends. Our mothers walked us together on Spring Street. We hunted together, studied together at Bloom, were in each others weddings, skied together, washed cars together. I remember us all being in my dorm room when Mike and my roommate got low numbers in the selective service lottery. They saw each other at Fort Dix, New Jersey. I wrote to Mike when he was stationed at Fort Collins, Colorado. I remember when my dad called and told me of Mike's death. I was teaching about 2 hours away from home. I had to call Mike's dad because I didn't want to believe what he had told me. You never forget losing someone you were so close to. Rest in peace my dear friend. Bill Davies
