Frank Guzzo

Inspector Frank Guzzo was killed in a motorcycle while pursuing a speeding vehicle.

Inspector Guzzo's motorcycle collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Tremont Avenue and Ross Street in East Orange. He was taken to Orange Memorial Hospital where his own son, who was a surgeon, operated on him in an attempt to save his life.

On October 7th, 2008, Patrolman Guzzo was posthumously promoted to the rank of Inspector along with three other fallen officers from the Orange Police Department.
