Officer John Guyette was shot and killed by a man during a raid on an illegal rum factory located at 162 Summer Street.

The subject, taken into custody following the raid, was convicted of murder and sentenced to life. He was pardoned December 23, 1955.

This is my grandfathers brother. My name is Christine M. Hicks and my grand mother was Evelyn Guyette . She was married 2 his brother if I have this right !! Sounds like he was a great man. But I also read that Felix Guyette was not a very good person ? I live in Illinois... My grandfather was Fredrick S. Guyette .
