Ralph D. Green

Policeman Ralph Green was killed in an automobile crash at the intersection of Western Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard while pursuing a stolen vehicle.

While driving through the intersection, Patrolman Green's partner braked to avoid hitting a car that turned in front of him. The patrol car skidded and turned over twice. Policeman Green suffered fatal injuries when he was thrown from the running board. His partner was seriously injured but recovered.

Policeman Green was assigned to the Hollywood Division. He was survived by his wife, 4-year-old daughter, 1-year-old son, and parents. His aunt also served in law enforcement.
