Wilfred F. Golla

Officer Wilfred Golla was shot and killed while pursuing a robbery suspect.

Officer Golla was informed by a citizen that a nearby market had just been robbed and the proprietor had been shot. Officer Golla proceeded to pursue the suspect who opened fire on him at St. Aubin and Antietam Streets, striking Officer Golla in the head.

Officer Golla had served with the agency for 2 years and was assigned to the 3rd Precinct. He was briefly survived by his wife who died a week later following the deaths of her newborn baby and her husband in the same week.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
