The longest 45 minutes of my life and the saddest days of my life. Tony struggled to stay alive. He had good reason. His wife was 8 months pregnant with a child he would never see. This incident changes the lives of all in the department and community, but not as much as his wifes.
Cpl. Donnie Bates was critically injured and Georgia State Trooper Buddy Horton was also injured.
Like many others, Tony was a Viet Nam Veteran, only to come home and loose his life.
I will always remember you, all of those hurt duirng this incident and your willingness to come to my call for help.
