Daniel Furtado

Patrolman Daniel Furtado was killed in a motorcycle accident on Woodland Street, in Boylston, on his first day of patrol out of the academy, and the sixth day after being appointed.

He was returning to the barracks when his motorcycle left the roadway and struck a tree in the town of Holden.

Patrolman Furtado was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII.
