View all 17 ReflectionsI was in my car on New Lagrange Rd that day. It was shortly after the shooting as police cars and ambulances were responding Code 3. Later that evening I learned what had happened. It left me with a sick feeling I carried for several days. Having grown up in Lyndon, this was the worst thing that had happened in Lyndon, that I could recall, to that point in my life (I was 23). A friend and I were talking about the event today. He owns a business in Lyndon and recalled the day well.
A few weeks later at a new job I started working with city and county police officers. As a group there wasn’t a finer bunch of guys.
RIP Officer Dunn. You are not forgotten, sir.
