I was in my car on New Lagrange Rd that day. It was shortly after the shooting as police cars and ambulances were responding Code 3. Later that evening I learned what had happened. It left me with a sick feeling I carried for several days. Having grown up in Lyndon, this was the worst thing that had happened in Lyndon, that I could recall, to that point in my life (I was 23). A friend and I were talking about the event today. He owns a business in Lyndon and recalled the day well.
A few weeks later at a new job I started working with city and county police officers. As a group there wasn’t a finer bunch of guys.
RIP Officer Dunn. You are not forgotten, sir.
