Patrolman Eddie Duncan and Lieutenant Delbert Roush were shot and killed while conducting a traffic stop at approximately 3:00 am. Lieutenant Roush was on his lunch break and had gone to backup Patrolman Duncan when the shooting occurred.

The suspect was apprehended and received two life sentences.

Patrolman Duncan had served with the agency for 3 years. He was survived by his wife, son, and two daughters.

Here we are almost to police officers memorial week again. 39 years and it seems like yesterday.
Some people probably wonder why I don't move on after all these years my dear brother. My one promise I made you is I would never forget or let you be forgotten. As long as I am alive and able I will keep that promise. Miss you brother.
