Michael James Doyle

Officer Michael Doyle sustained fatal injuries after falling during a training exercise.

He was participating in a rappelling exercise with his SORT team when the accident occurred. At the time of his death, Officer Doyle was assigned to Region 9, Coronado, California.

Officer Doyle was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was survived by his wife, son, and daughter.

Your son is now an adult. I know in my heart that he was told, day in and day out what a fine man you were and I know in my heart that he grew up to emulate his Dad.

It's now 35 years since you were taken from us all and I'm sure for many, it seems like yesterday.
