Officer Ronald Davis was killed in an automobile accident on U.S. Highway 91 near Barstow while responding to a call. He was using his lights and sirens and was passing two cars. One of the vehicles did not see his cruiser and pulled out in front of it. He swerved in an attempt to avoid a collision which caused the car to roll several times.

Officer Davis had been with the agency for less than one year.

I was a junior in HS at the time of your passing. 2 years later as a Marine and then in 1969 I also became a Proud California Highway Patrol “Traffic Officer”... Thank you for your service and GOD bless you and your family. Even tho your career was short it was very Honorable and you will never be forgotten Rest In Peace Brother and Semper Fi.
