I heard your name for the first time as a cadet in 2013 for the Chicopee Police Department. The honor of telling your story to the other cadets was mine. I came across my old academy notebook today and found my way back to your memorial page. As I reread your story, I recalled how I felt that day as a new cadet. Reminded that each day is treated as though it is my first. The opportunity to learn from those who've completed their duty as an officer is the beginning. Thank you, Officer Dacyczyn, for your dedicated service and the reminder today.
