Robert V. Cummins

Officer Robert Cummins was killed in a motorcycle accident in Phoenix, Arizona while escorting an American Legion convention parade.

While returning to Tucson, his police motorcycle skidded on loose gravel at Van Buren and 16th Streets. He was knocked to the ground and received serious head injuries. He succumbed to his injuries three days later.

Officer Cummings was a United States Army World War I veteran who served with the Tucson Police Department for one year and previously served with the United States Department of Homeland Security - Customs and Border Protection for nine years. He was survived by his wife and four children.
