Sergeant Croxton was killed in an automobile accident when his patrol car left the roadway during a pursuit. It is believed that he was chasing a motorcycle at the time of the incident. The driver of the vehicle he was chasing was never found.
Sergeant Croxton had been with the agency for just over six years and was survived by his wife and two children.
