David was my friend, we grew up together. He went to work at Shawnee about the same time I did at Tecumseh. I was sitting the desk and listened to every minute of the pursuit in which he was murdered. I say murder because it was an intentional attack on the part of the other driver that killed him. I took Shawnee's senior officers to his parent house the next morning, they wouldn't let me stay. This was a very hard time for me, both as a police officer and a family friend. David was a good friend, a fine man, a fine police officer. He was taken from us far too soon and justice was NEVER served. I'll never forget him.
