Captain Cissne was involved in a traffic accident at North West 4th Avenue and Broadway Street.

Captain Cissne suffered broken ribs and was hospitalized until he succumbed to pneumonia four days later. He served wth the department for 14 years and was survived by his wife and son, three brothers and a sister.
