Patrolman John Chabala was killed in a motorcycle crash on the Bronx River Parkway while on patrol.

He was transported to Lawrence Hospital where he died of his injuries.

He was a WWII Army Air Forces veteran. He was survived by his wife, 6-month-old son, and parents.

On today, the 75th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.
