Charles Christopher Caraccilo

Policeman Charles Caraccilo was shot and killed by the driver of a car he stopped for a minor offense.

An anonymous phone tip led to the arrest of the 18-year-old suspect a short time later.

The suspect was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to 21 years to life in prison on December 27th, 1973.

Policeman Caraccilo had served with the Los Angeles Police Department for 14 years. He was survived by his wife and five children.

Thank you, to all the people, who have posted on this site... It means so much, to me and my family... God bless you all, especially anyone who took the time and effort, to post on this site.
I thank all of you, for never forgetting my dad... I was only 9, when he was murdered, but I still remember, the block parties, on Kalisher street, and him building the flatbottom boat, in the garage, which I still have today,,, It's called, Locrotch... The name my dad's buddies gave him. And daddy would be happy to report, it's bad ass...
So, I thank all of you, who have never forgotten him... Blue lives matter!!!
