Robert William Jones

Trooper Robert Jones was killed when his patrol car crashed into a tractor-trailer that pulled out in front of his patrol car from a scrap metal business at 4891 U.S. 231, three miles south of Brundidge.

He was responding to a reckless driving call at the time of the crash.

Trooper Jones had served with the Alabama Department of Public Safety for 13 years. He is survived by his parents, son, daughter, and four brothers.
