Eugene Wilder Campbell

Investigator Eugene Campbell was killed in an automobile accident in St. John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana.

He and another agent were returning to New Orleans after conducting an investigation in Baton Rouge. As they drove along Highway 61 their car was forced off the road by a tractor trailer. Investigator Campbell was ejected from the vehicle and killed. The other agent suffered serious injuries.

The truck driver was arrested and charged with negligent homicide.

Investigator Campbell was a United States Coast Guard veteran.
