Patrick McLaughlin

Patrolman Patrick McLaughlin was killed in a motorcycle crash on River Road near the Kearny line in North Arlington, New Jersey.

Patrolman McLaughlin and another officer were chasing a speeder when they crashed into a taxi. Patrolman McLaughlin was pinned underneath the motorcycle, and the other officer flew off of the motorcycle.

The taxi driver took both officers to Stumpf Hospital where Patrolman McLaughlin was pronounced dead. The other officer suffered a fractured knee.

Patrolman McLaughlin was survived by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
