Police Officer Dillon Micheal Vakoff

My heart is broken as i just found out that a good Airman, Friend, Man, and Officer was killed in the line of duty. I use to supervise Dillon along with others while he was on active duty in the Air Force. I was also deployed with Dillon for over 6 months. I would remember his joy for life and that he was a gym buff just like me. One of his alternate assigned takes while we were deployed was to pick up the mail for the whole unit. This was a hard and tasking job but it brought joy to everyone when a package came in for them and he was the face they would see. I was so excited when he got promoted to SSgt and that his passion for becoming a better man was so infectious to everyone around him. I still think of you often and like his old motto of his active duty once stood for was "FTB" or "First to Bomb" was because the unit was the first to do so in combat. I think he lived it as he was the "First" on scene and always leading the way. Dillon, you will not be forgotten and may you rest in peace and brother in arms.
