Officer Trainee Cody Olafson died after suffering a medical emergency while training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick, Georgia.
Officer Olafson had served with the United States Customs and Border Protection - Office of Field Operations for four months and was assigned to the Pembina Port of Entry in North Dakota. He is survived by his mother, sister, and both grandmothers.

It has been 10 months since Cody's passing, and I am just finding all the condolences that were written.
Thank you to each and every one of you for taking time and sending your heartfelt condolences.
There are a lot of tough times and more to come I am sure but, with our extended families such as all of you it helps.
I pray every night for the safety of all of officers who are putting their lives on the line every day for us to be safe and be able to go home to their families. Thank you for your services!
