Gary Allan Johnson

Deputy Johnson was killed while responding to a domestic disturbance call. His patrol car was run off the road by a drunk driver and hit a tree. The drunk driver fled the scene but was later apprehended. However, the grand jury declined to indict the suspect. The man was arrested and convicted of a later arson in which several firefighters were injured.

Deputy Johnson was survived by his wife and two sons.

Although its been 27 years, I will never forget you my friend. Yesterday we lost a Trooper and I admit I had a little PTSD. He too was a good officer like you were, but also a caring individual just as you were. Meet up with him at heavens gate, and you two can watch over those that are still here doing what you both loved, to Protect and Serve . RIP
