Deputy Sheriff James Robbins was shot and killed while attempting to break up an argument between a man and several women in Crawfordsville.
The man fled the scene but was shot and killed by a posse.
Deputy Robbins had served with the Crittenden County Sheriff's Office for nine years. He was survived by his wife.
