I always remember Randy's smile and the way he would say "If I tell you an ant can tote a bale of hay. You just tell me where you want it." The night he was shot we were on midnight shift. I remember walking out of muster together. We both caught a call on Beat two right away. He had a trainee and I was a single unit. The call turned out to be an egging of an old woman's house, not a burglary in progress. Dispatch called and asked if he could cut loose. He took the call on a man with a gun, possible armed robbery on East Broad Ave. I talked to the lady at the house and headed to back him up. Before I got there he had been shot. Life is short and never guaranteed. Love your people every moment, waste no time on anger or selfishness.

Peace Out Brother
