Game Protector Robert Zimmerman died when his department-issued station wagon collided with a tractor-trailer on Route 11, near Danville.

Game Protector Zimmerman was reporting to the Forty Fort Divisional Office when the accident occurred.

Game Protector Robert Zimmerman was a U.S Army veteran of WWII and served with the Pennsylvania Game Commission for only two months.

He was survived by his wife, daughter, parents and a brother and sister.

On today, the 61st anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as a LEO but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army during WW II. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
