Officer King Brown was accidentally shot and killed when his service weapon discharged as he exited his vehicle.
He was known to keep his weapon cocked and stuck in the waste band of his pants. As he got out of the vehicle the weapon fell from his pants, discharged, and struck him.
Officer Brown is buried in Highland Cemetery in Lawton, Oklahoma.
