I was a Sgt at Kennesaw Police Dept I was working that night Dispatching and a bit before the Accident happened a few of the Dui Task Force officers were in the station kidding around cutting up the mood was light they all hit the road and Drew and Jerry set up on Hwy 41 to run radar the call came over the Radio fron Jerry Waldrop a Symrna Police officer screaming that Drew had been hit and his car was in flames. I immediatley got the Ambulance Fire dept in route and our Chief of Police at the time Robert Ruble. It was horrific, unbelieveable and was a night that will be etched in my mind forever. A few of the officers came back to the station after the news that Officer Brown was deceased and seemed like a horrible dream. Seems like everone was in disbelief. I will always rember Drew as a quiet guy loved his job. He was very well liked by his fellow Officers.. By far the worst night of all our years working in Law Enforcement. Drew will never be forgotton. RIP!!
