Agent Charles Oglesby and Agent Carl Postellon were killed in a vehicle crash while returning to Pittsburgh after conducting taproom investigations in the Canonsburg area.

They were turning onto Route 19 at McClelland Road when their vehicle collided with another car. Both agents were ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries.

Agent Oglesby was a WWII veteran and had served in both the United States Army and United States Navy. He had served with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board for 18 years. He was survived by his wife, three daughter, two sons, mother, and three brothers.

Hello Dad, Charles Robert Oglesby, tragically he and his partner, Carl Postelong, were on duty the early morning hours when a car full of teenage girls pushed my Dad’s car off the road and killed our Father and his police partner ! We were left with a Mother that loved you SO much and 5 children from 12 years old to 6 months!!!you were her ROCK, Dad and Mom was shell shocked for a long time with what hapoetfor a long time. We miss you still Dad. We love you always.
