Hi, I am writing on behalf of Nancy Ball, his granddaughter.

She had known he had died while riding a motorcycle in performance of his duties, but never received a gold star.

Her father, Austin Levi Fitch, was one of the 6 children Officer Fitch left behind.

He grew up to be a metallurgist and had 3 daughters. Due to his occupation, he was deemed important to the war effort and was not drafted in World War II.

Thank you for posting this memoriam page.

Sincerely,
Justice Carmon
for Nancy Ball [nee Fitch]
