Deputy Curley Brown came to Axel Larson's house to request assistance after the shooting of
Constable Douglass. My Grandfather Oswald Erickson (15) was asleep in the attic and woke up when he heard the knock on the door and the conversation about the shooting. Axel took his Model T and went to notify the proper authorities. A tragic double shooting and a tragic death of Officer Douglass.
