Inspector Milton Rueck was killed when his vehicle was struck by a train at a railroad crossing.
Inspector Rueck received a call at home Sunday morning advising him of pheasant poaching in the area. The accident occurred as he went to investigate the reports.
Inspector Rueck had served in law enforcement for 22 years. He was survived by his wife and two children.
