James D. Campbell

Constable James Campbell was accidentally fatally shot when his service pistol discharged as he drew it from its holster.

He had responded to a disturbance call at a local saloon when the mishap occurred. He died as a result of the wound two weeks later.

Constable Campbell was survived by his wife.
