Patrolman Manuel Borgos died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash on Mill Road in Eastchester.

The driver of the other vehicle was held on a charge of homicide after the accident. The man told police he was attempting to make a left hand turn when the motorcycle driven by Patrolman Borgos crashed into the side of his car.

My grandfather was the inspiration for me becoming a Deputy Sheriff. I never knew him,he died when my father was 11 yrs old. But I have many of his personal things including several sporting guns,as well as pictures of him in uniform with his police motorcycle.
